in no way a guarantee against injury.
MOLER RACEWAY PARK 2007 SUPER STOCK RULES & REGULATIONS
CHASSIS:
All cars must be rear wheel drive with a stock front sub frame, 104"min. wheelbase.
All factory front subs must extend back to at least rear motor plate area.
Competition type 4 point rollcage is required and must be constructed with tubing 1.5"in diameter.
At least 3 bars are required in the drivers door and at least 2 horizontal bars are required between the driver
and the right side door. All rollcage joints must have gussets welded in.
No trucks, station wagons, convertibles or compacts allowed.
***2800 lbs. for steel leaf or coil spring cars. 2850 lbs. for four bar and swing arm.
MINIMUM WEIGHT WITH DRIVER AFTER ALL EVENTS***
Drive shaft loops are mandatory. 12" from the front and 12" from the rear of driveshaft.
BODY:
All glass, chrome trim and upholstery must be removed. Decking may come over to driver's compartment.
Tops, hoods and rear deck lids may be steel, fiberglass or aluminum. After market STOCK APPEARING STEEL
AND ALUMINUM BODIES will be allowed. Body parts may be stock or fabricated from sheet metal or aluminum.
ALL BODY PARTS MUST CLOSELY RESEMBLE STOCK PARTS. No lips on bodies or nosepieces. All side
panels must be flush with rest of body throughout bodyline. Side panels cannot be taller than hood or trunk
lines. No flanges or lips on roof supports. Rear valance panel must be 8" tall, run entire width of car and be
fastened on both sides.
Body of the car must be 6" off the ground.
No bars or objects outside the body or bumpers except for boot bar on the front. Bumpers may be stock or
tubing but they must be rolled or capped on the ends.
8" maximum spoiler. Spoiler supports no higher than the spoiler. Side supports may be 10" long measured from
the bottom forward.
Firewall and floorboard must completely enclose the driver’s compartment.
No decking allowed inside driver's compartment. You may bring decking straight in from passenger door 15" or
in line with passenger side frame rail, then straight down to floorboard. Decking is allowed behind the driver's
seat. No Lexan or Plexiglas side windows.
All cars must be clearly and neatly lettered with at least 18" high on both sides and top of car. Your car must
STANDOUT from the other lettering on your car. If you know there is someone with the same number as yours,
you may want to add a latter or you may be asked to add an X at the track.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SEE THAT YOU ARE SCORED PROPERLY!!
Tow chains are required on the front and back of the car and capable of lifting the weight of the car.
SUSPENSION:
Stock steering box must remain in stock location for year and make of sub frame. No chain steering or center
steering allowed. Driver must sit in front of the left rear wheel and to the left of the drive shaft.
Steering quickners will be allowed. It is recommended that the stock rubber coupler on the steering box be
replaced with a steel knuckle.
Stock lower A frames must be used. A-frames may be lightened. UMP APPROVED LOWER CONTROL AREMS
ARE ALLOWED .Tube type after market upper A-frames allowed.
O.E.M. spindles, steering box, rotors and calipers required.
Jack screws will be allowed. Tube type upper A-frame permitted.
One shock and one spring per wheel. Tie rod end type racing shocks permitted. No alum shocks.
Rear disc brakes allowed. No alum calipers.
Racing brake pedals and hydraulic clutch pedal allowed.
Floater rearends allowed. No quick change rear ends or wide 5 hubs/rotors. 9 inch Ford okay.
No coil over shocks. No coil over eliminators.
No Alum. birdgages allowed
No fiberglass leaf springs. Mod. Bar adjustable rear-end optional (must weigh 2850 pounds with driver after all
events.
Steel leaf or coil springs.
No spring loaded lift bars, No spring loaded upper torque bars or spring loaded pushbars allowed.
Min. 5" diameter Coil springs allowed.
No inside the car adjusting devices allowed.
ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN:
Motor set back-Center of #1 spark plug must be no more than 4" from center of ball joint.
No aluminum BLOCKS or HEADS.
Carburetors no more than 4 barrels. No fuel injection, turbo chargers, nitrous oxide. No elec. Fuel pumps.
Gas or alcohol allowed.
Aluminum intakes allowed.
Headers allowed. MUFFLERS MANDATORY…No grace period. Mufflers must be mounted close enough to the
end of your exhaust to be inspected.
Headers must not pass through the drivers compartment.
Bert, Brinn or stock transmissions only. No quick change trans. Automatics may be modified to run without
torque converter. Mini clutches allowed. No couplers or direct drives. Three or Four speeds okay.
Car must be able to move forward and backwards with the engine running.
No quick change rearends or wide five hubs.
No aluminum driveshafts. No alum shocks or any other suspension parts.
No dry sump oil systems allowed. HEI or MSD Dist., MSD Box Allowed.
Stock Ignition ok, no dual point or magneto distributor.
No radios, computers, transmitting or listening devices. NO mirrors.
No adjustable shocks, hydraulic or pneumatic weight jacks, Trackers, MSD boxes or similar adjustable
components of any kind inside cockpit of car.
No wheel rotation control device of any kind allowed. No controlled timing device attached to or controlling
accelerator, or spin or rotation of wheel allowed. No adjustable restrictor plates.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
Wheels and Tires: 8" steel wheels only. Any 15 " tire. Tire and wheel combo must pass through 11 1/2 hoop.
Grooving and siping okay.
1" lugnuts on rightside. Beadlocks allowed.
No stock wheels allowed on right side of car. 1" lug nuts required. Beadlocks allowed .
SAFETY:
Competition seat required. 5 point safety harness, approved helmet and firesuit with gloves are required any
time your car is on the track.
Fuel cells ( max 32 gal.) required and must be securely mounted with 2" by 1/8" steel strapping.
No fuel cells to be mounted lower than centerline of rearend. and must have fuel cell guard mounted on rear of
frame.
No fuel filters inside of cockpit. Fuel lines that pass through cockpit must be in steel tubing.
Firewall is required between the driver and fuel cell.
If battery is located in drivers cockpit it must be encased in a marine type box with lid.
Seat belts must be bolted securely to frame or rollcage with Grade 8 bolts and lock nuts or double nutted.
All weights must be painted white and have your car number on them. Weights must be mounted with bolts to
frame or roll cage. No weights allowed on top half of roll cage or on the rear bumper.
No taping or strapping weights on.
ENGINE CLAIMS:
A. $1550.00 PLUS EXCHANGE OF ENGINE (TOW TRUCK PULLING ENGINES GETS $50.00)
B. Only driver may claim engine and only driver may agree to sell
C. Only the winner can be claimed.
D. Claiming driver must have raced at least one-half (1/2) of the scheduled races at the track where claim is
made or at least three (3) straight feature events at that track. Driver can have his motor claimed at any time.
E. No claim by driver his first night of competition at the track.
F. In case of multiple claims on same engine, engine will go to qualified driver finishing furthest back in field.
G. No driver can claim an engine if he has spun out and caused a yellow flag caution period.
H. First sell, no sell or trade of engine by driver being claimed is binding.
I. Driver making claim must have taken checkered flag in feature and be on same lap as leader.
J. Driver making claim must do so in cash or certified check to promoter or chief pit steward within five (5)
minutes of end of feature.
K. No driver can make over two (2) claims for the entire year.
L. A driver can claim another driver's engine only once during the year.
M. If claim is refused, claim is not held against claiming driver.
N. Claim does not include: flywheel, clutch, clutch ball, clutch arm, throw out bearings, pressure plate, bell
housing, headers, carburetor, carburetor adapter, starter, fan and pulleys, motor mounts, sending units for oil
pressure and water temp., water pump, distributor, oil dip stick, plug wires or fuel pump.
O. Driver making claim must drive his car immediately after finish of feature under it's own power, directly to
claiming area. Only drivers and officials are allowed in claiming area. Claiming area must be designated by
promoter to all drivers at drivers meeting prior to feature event.
P. Feature winner must go to claiming area immediately following finish of feature event. If no driver comes
immediately to claiming area, winner may go to pits.
Q. Claimed engine must be completely removed within one (1) hour from time claim I is made at track.
R. Buyer must examine engine before removal. Once removal is started, sale is final. Any sabotage to a
claimed engine will result in saboteur being suspended from all scheduled races for 30 days and until fine of
$1,000.00 is paid to MOLER RACEWAY PARK.
S. Refusal to sell forfeits all cash, trophies and contingency winnings for feature plus all track points. Driver
refusing to sell his engine when claimed within the rules loses their right to claim any engine for twelve (12)
months. Driver refusing to sell his engine the first time is fined $200.00 and is suspended from racing at MRP
for one week. Drivers refusing to sell their engine the second time is fined $600.00 and is suspended for four
(4) weeks.
