1. Any U.S. manufactured full body passenger car style, full frame or unibody 1950 or newer,
steel or aluminum aftermarket template body with optional steel roof. Drivers seat no further
back than quarter post for top, aftermarket plastic or stock nose pieces may be used, all cars
must have rear tail area closed in with stock tail and bumper or plastic stock appearing bumper
covers allowed. Hood and trunk lids must be functional.

2. BODY OPTION AND WEIGHT LIMIT OPTIONS:

1. Factory steel body, with factory steel firewall and floor pan to be behind drivers seat, plastic
front and rear or stock bumper covers used, this option gets a weight break 3,000 pounds
minimum after any race with driver, body and top must set/fit square to frame used, quarter
panel to be no higher than door line, 1" tolerance.

2. Factory stock body, or after market steel or aluminum (such as five star performance bodies)
stock appearing template bodies with or without stock steel firewall, and steel floor. Cars must
have a bend or break line in sides of body to keep from being "slab sided" no squared off slab
looking bodies. This body option must weigh 3,000 pounds minimum after any race with driver,
body to fit square to frame, quarter panel no higher than door line, 1" tolerance.

1. Front and rear firewalls to have all holes plugged and capped off with sheet metal. Inner
fenders may be removed. Doors fastened, bolted, welded, or riveted shut. Clear rear spoiler, no
wider than quarter panel, 7" high/max from deck lid. Rub nails, 2" square max, must be flush
with body, no sharp edges. All windows to remain open, windshield screen or grating
recommended, driver’s side window not recommended. Bodies should be cut and radiused for
tire clearance.

2. Interior sheet metal should taper from top of passenger side door, down toward drive to
allow easy exit out passenger side window opening. ( Note: Driver may be asked to exit
passenger side for proof of clearance.) Interior must be completely gutted. No mirrors.

      1. CHASSIS/FRAME:

1. Must be full stock frame, unibody may be used but must be tied together with 2"x 2"
minimum tubing, stock GM or Ford frame may be used.

2. May use front clip measuring at least 36" in length from ball joint to rear of clip, and 2"x 2",
2" x 3" or 2" x 4" square tubing of .095" or .125" wall recommended, from clip back, ¾ of frame
with rear clip may be used.

3. Wheel base- 101" minimum or longer for Firebird, Camaro, Mustang ONLY. All others 104"
minimum or longer for Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Regal, Thunderbird, Mirada, Intrepid, etc.

4. Must have a lifting hook for wrecker operator to access on both front and rear of frame.

      1. BUMPERS:

1. Must be stock or can be approved aftermarket nose and tail with bumper.

2. Bumper must be fastened to fenders or quarter panels (tied in).

      1. INTERIOR:

1. Must be completely gutted. No mirrors.

2. Firewalls must be completely covered with sheet metal and extend door to door. Must
extend down from top of fenders to top of frame rail on both sides. Front firewall must follow
near to stock lines. Rear firewall must be straight across.

      1. ENGINE:

1. Cast iron block and heads only.
2. Cast iron or aluminum intake.
3. Headers allowed should exit under car.
4. Stock electronic or points ignition only, no magnetos.
5. 2 or 4 barrel carb, no fuel injection.
6. Gasoline fuel only, no alcohol or nitrous.
7. Engine set back no further back than centerline of #1 spark plug to ball joint (upper).
8. No electric fuel pumps.

      1. SUSPENSION:

1. Steering must be unaltered O.E. and in stock location. Stock passenger car spindles only,
no fabricated spindles. Tubular A-frames are ok.

2. Quick release hub and steering quickener are optional.

3. Shocks do not have to be in stock location. One shock and spring per wheel, racing shocks
ok.

4. Rear suspension must be stock O.E. design. No added lift arms, shocks, or springs.
Aftermarket pan hard bars are optional, but must be solid. Aftermarket upper torque link (24"
max length) optional, but mounting point on car must be within axle centerline. No Macpherson
struts or coilovers. No coilover eliminators
.
5. No suspension/drive line parts or mounts permitted inside the driver’s compartment.

6. Stock coil or leaf springs only.


      1. BRAKES:

1. Must have four-wheel brakes and lock up during inspection.

      1. REARENDS:

1. Any O.E. car or truck rear end. No quick-change device. Floaters optional but strongly
recommended.

      1. TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH:

1. Any transmission with working clutch.
2. Automatics allowed.
3. All cars must start and operate in forward and reverse while engine is running.

      1. TIRES AND WHEELS:

1. Steel wheels only, 8" maximum with 1" lug nuts.
2. E-Mod tires ok, Hoosier D40, American Racer Med. And hard compound.
3. 8" Dot street radials or recaps, grooving optional/OK.
4. Bead locks allowed.

      1. SAFETY:

1. Five (5)-point safety belt, shoulder harness. Belts must be mounted to cage or frame. Belts,
harness, and cars can be inspected anytime. Recommended to be no more than 1 year old.
Helmet – Snell 85 recommended. No transmitting or listening devices allowed in car.

2. Drive shaft loop is required and must be at least ¼" x 2" steel or ¼" chain and should be
mounted no more than 6" back from front of drive shaft. Drive shaft must be painted white.

3. If battery is mounted in drivers compartment, it must be mounted in a metal box and marine-
type battery box.

4. All glass and chrome interior and exterior trim must be removed.

5. Radiators may not protrude through the hood.

6. All add on weight must be painted white and have car number on it. Must be securely
fastened.

7. Fuel caps must have car number on it.

8. Must have 4-point roll cage 1 ¾" O.D. minimum, with .095 wall thickness, mild steel with 3
door bars driver side and 2 door bars passenger side.

9. Racing seat only. Must be securely mounted to roll cage.

10. Gloves are Required

      1. APPEARANCE:

1. All cars must be in neat appearance, painted to look like a racecar and be neatly lettered with
numbers painted 18" high on both sides, and 24" high on roof, numbers to be 3" thick.
2. Badly wrecked cars must be straightened.

      1. FUEL CELL:

A. Approved fuel cell required. Must be securely fastened inside trunk of car. All cell mounts
must be steel, attached to frame or cage. Gas only, no alcohol, no additives.
